In 2017 the 63% of pupils achieved Grade 9 – 4 (A*-C) in English and Maths. This is the highest percentage in the history of the school, either as St Michael’s or as Holy Trinity. Results were slightly above National 2016 and a continuation of a trend of improvement for Holy Trinity. Positive progress scores were achieved in both English and Maths.

EBacc (English Baccalaureate)

Standard Pass: students must achieve a grade 4 or above in English and Mathematics and Grade C or above in 2 sciences, a modern foreign language and either History or Geography.

Strong Pass: students must achieve a grade 5 or above in English and Mathematics and Grade C or above in 2 sciences, a modern foreign language and either History or Geography.

Progress 8

This measure is based on students’ progress measured across 8 subjects: English, mathematics, 3 EBacc subjects and 3 other subjects.

Attainment 8

This measure is based on students’ average achievement in the same suite of subjects as the Progress 8 measure.
