More congratulations to Rosie Longley in Year 8 for becoming the WRSA British Champion!

KBa

Rosie earned a chance at fighting the current World Ring Sport Association English champion for the vacant British title. The fight was staged in the other girls home town of Chippenham in front of hundreds of the current champions own fans, Rosie was supported by her parents, her grandad and Eva her sister !

Both girls weighed in almost identically at 42 kg’s, but the girl from Chippenham was 12 months older.

In a very intimidating atmosphere, Rosie started really well and was immediately in the ascendancy, landing some very heavy kicks to her opponents body as the first round ended. As the referee called both girls out for round 2, Rosie’s opponent’s coach made it clear to the referee that she was in no position to continue so stopped the fight, resulting in a win for Rosie and her being crowned the new WRSA British Champion !  Rosie brought the very impressive winner’s belt into school to show her classmates.

Some tickets available if anyone wants a brilliant day out !

Good luck to both Rosie and Eva!
