On Friday 10th November Holy Trinity held a  Liturgy to mark Armistice Day -before respecting the Two Minute silence to remember our war dead from the last 100 years.

Miss Meehan led the liturgy with a group of secondary pupils with guests including Mrs Dickson, members of the Governing Body, Bishop Ralph and pupils  from both phases of Holy Trinity. The liturgy explained why we all come together to remember Armistice Day.  It included a short dramatic piece to tell the story of how it came to be remembered, and Mrs Hall’s Glee Club (which is a mixture of Key Stage 2 pupils) sang “We Will Remember” .

One of our year 11 Pupils, Edward Thorpe, then gave a moving rendition of The Last Post before the whole school fell silent for the Two Minute silence.

After the liturgy a short service was held at the spiritual garden and Bishop Ralph laid a poppy wreath at the foot of the cross.
