Head’s Introduction

As the Headteacher of Holy Trinity I am delighted to introduce our school. Holy Trinity is unique as a Catholic and Church of England 3 – 16 through school. We are fortunate to occupy an amazing purpose-built, state of the art building that opened in September 2012. The opportunities this can offer our young people are boundless.

At Holy Trinity, the leadership team, staff and governors are completely focused on nurturing each individual in order that they reach their full potential. Our ambition is to raise standards for our pupils and to develop independent, aspiring and caring young people.

Our Catholic and Church of England values form our distinctive Christian ethos, and this guides and supports everything we do in school. The Catholic Diocese of Hallam and the Anglican Diocese of Leeds (formally West Yorkshire and the Dales) guide and influence our work and partner with us in developing and shaping our school.

Holy Trinity has recently become an academy and we are delighted to have joined the Hallam Schools’ Partnership Academy Trust. We look forward to benefitting from the opportunities that this relationship will bring.

We have a 420-place primary phase (plus a nursery that accommodates both 15 and 30 hours of free provision)  and a 700-place secondary phase. Our 3 – 16 through-school status offers exciting and innovative learning opportunities where primary children have access to specialist equipment and resources and can work alongside secondary students. We are keen to exploit these opportunities wherever we can and create a seamless transition between Key Stages 2 & 3.

We have the highest aspirations for our students, celebrating their achievement and recognising their success in all its forms as often as we can. We strive to create a positive, stimulating environment where everyone is supported, empowered and challenged to achieve their potential. We are fully inclusive and work with our community for the good of all.

We place teaching and learning at the heart of all we do and have high expectations and aspirations for the progress of all our pupils.

Thank you for showing an interest in Holy Trinity and for visiting our website.
